Chris King

Chris King scooped the prestigious Laurie Bunn Road Safety Award during the London Accident Prevention Council’s 91st Annual event on July 23rd July 2008 held in the St Bride Foundation, London.

TV presenter Nick Ross, President of LAPC, presented Chris with the award for his outstanding achievement to Road Safety and casualty reduction in London.

Chris’s career which spans over three decades took him from assistant Road Safety Officer at the London Borough of Southwark to Road Safety Manager at the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames.

He has held active and responsible posts with a number of organisations including Chairman of RoSPA’s National Road Safety Committee, Vice President of LAPC and undertaken various leadership and advisory roles for LARSOA (Local Authority Road Safety Officers Association),to name but a few.

Chris has been thoroughly devoted to Road Safety matters undertaking many television and radio interviews on behalf of his profession and road safety organisations.

Chris’s lifelong project has been casualty reduction and his efforts to achieve this have been boundless.

“It’s an honour to receive an award for a role I’ve found very rewarding. I thank the LAPC and would like to extend my congratulations to the other nominees for their achievements” said Chris.

 

 

 

 

The Award was presented  to Chris King on Wednesday 23rd July 2008 in the Bridewell Hall, St Bride Foundation by Nick Ross, TV Presenter who is the President of the LAPC
